Dr. Starink is a life-long Ontario resident and was blessed to have family who was very supportive of multiple pets while growing up. Her first job was in a veterinary clinic, and she has worked in the veterinary field ever since. Time spent at the University of Guelph resulted in an Honours Bachelor of Science, with honours, and a veterinary degree from the Ontario Veterinary College. She has enjoyed time spent volunteering with the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine, including being President in 1999, and has served on committees for several years for the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Starink believes in compassionate care and wellness-centred medicine that focuses on the needs of each patient as an individual. She enjoys surgery, dentistry, and the investigation of medical illness. She continues to enjoy attending continuing education in all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. She is proud of the team at Erin Mills Pet Hospital and all that we offer as our clients’ “other” Family Doctor! She currently shares her time between work, 2 teenagers and 2 (formerly) stray cats. She enjoys reading, cooking, skiing, horse-back riding and travel, but never has enough time!
