Dr. Jacqueline Starink
DVM, Owner
Dr. Starink is a life-long Ontario resident and was blessed to have a family who was very supportive of multiple pets while growing up. Her first job was in a veterinary clinic, and she has worked in the veterinary field ever since. Time spent at the University of Guelph resulted in an Honours Bachelor of Science and a veterinary degree from the Ontario Veterinary College. She has enjoyed time spent volunteering with the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine, including being President in 1999, and has served on committees for several years for the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Starink believes in compassionate care and wellness-centred medicine that focuses on the needs of each patient as an individual. She enjoys surgery, dentistry, and the investigation of medical illness. She continues to enjoy attending continuing education in all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. She is proud of the team at Erin Mills Pet Hospital and all that we offer as our clients’ “other” Family Doctor! She currently shares her time between the clinic needs, family and pets! She enjoys reading, cooking, skiing, horse-back riding and travel, but never has enough time!

Dr. Bisni Peter
DVM
Dr. Bisni Peter graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Kerala Agricultural University (India) in 2005. She moved to Canada in 2006 and continued her licensing procedures with the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association to become a licensed veterinarian in Canada. Since then, she has been working at various clinics in the GTA. Her professional interests include nutrition, preventative medicine and ultrasonography. She is friendly, enthusiastic, and has a caring attitude that endears her to all her patients!
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring this beautiful city with her husband and small kids, and is always open to suggestions for restaurants, parks and events!

Dr. Michael Sam

Dr. Michael was born and raised in Canada, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2019. Following his passion for animal care, he moved to Australia in 2020 to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. After completing his studies in 2023, Dr. Michael returned home not only with his veterinary degree but also with a new companion — an adorable cat named Kai, whom he adopted during his time in Melbourne. In his free time, Dr. Michael stays up to date with the latest veterinary research, enjoys playing sports and video games, and loves driving and spending time with his friends.
Dr. Martin
DVM
Dr. Martin knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from when her family got their first dog when she was only 4 years old! Since then she has been busy making her dream a reality obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and a Master of Science degree in Animal Reproduction, both from the University of Guelph. She has always had an adventurer spirit, which led her abroad for veterinary school.
Dr. Martin obtained her Bachelor of Veterinary science degree from the University of Bristol in England. After four years of studying in the UK and travelling around Europe, she returned home to Toronto and joined the Erin Mills Pet Hospital team. Dr. Martin has an interest in surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time outside, hiking and skiing, but also enjoys cozying up with a good book and a tea. Dr. Martin loves to travel and is always looking for recommendations for her next trip! She is excited to meet all your furry friends that come into the clinic!
